SCALES BOARD
Scales is a true work of wall art, which presents a powerful design, with its "scales" naturally hanging in an extraordinarily beautiful irregular flow. It's asymmetrical and apparently careless shape, enhances the beauty of the imperfection of pure cork, and enhances the natural acoustic benefits of pure cork, and will always be the centerpiece of a room.
DETAILS
Each Scales Board, in fact like all Magna Natura pieces, is unique and unrepeatable, the result of a random construction process taking advantage of the natural irregularities of cork. The cork used is a natural raw material, in it's purest state, presenting extraordinary versatility and incredible chromatic and textural diversity. What appears to be imperfection, or unfinished, is actually a reflection of it's purity and the result of Mother Nature's own design, which we keep intact.
Scales is a 100% sustainable work, not only because it is pure cork that is extracted without harming the tree, which remains alive for generations, but also in this case by using cork strips from the production of stoppers, and carefully selected, revaluing what was not this beautiful solution with special acoustic benefits, it would be to crush and produce industrialized products.
ABOUT THE DESIGN
In addition to the decorative aspect, the magna Natura design provides acoustic benefits, absorbing part of the sound waves, such as a "sound trap", making the space acoustically comfortable and in welcoming environment, which only pure cork can provide.
It is easy to see that it is much higher level solution design than the industrialized, these ones althout good, they are uniform and monotonous cork texture.
OUR PROPOSALS
It is presented in three versions: 1) one showing the inner face of the cork, being lighter (Scales light); 2) another with the side that is called "belly" (Scales Brown) which is the one that was in direct contact with the tree trunk; 3) and another that is a random mixture of the two faces (scales random), giving a particularly natural and beautiful chromatic aspect.
Each artwork is made to order. We present our proposals for the size and arrangement of cork pieces that can be customized within certain limits to be confirmed, according to the client's idea. Dimension: 80 x 120 cm, or custom. Colors: light natural, dark natural, random natural, or according to the client's instructions. : Orientation: portrait or landscape orientation.
The board is prepared so that it can be hung or fixed on the wall in the way we think best suited to size and / or weight. It can be changed according to the customer's request and upon confirmation. The work has a flexible granulated cork base.
Each piece is carefully and entirely made by hand, but it is not just about craftsmanship, but about careful design to fully satisfy you and therefore the normal delivery time is two weeks.
